Firstly, the structure of the car body has been modified.
The car body makes use of lightweight, recyclable aluminum. The aluminum double skin panel enables a simple frameless structure to be realized. Thanks to the use of the revolutionary Friction Stir Welding (FSW) method on both sides of the aluminum double skin panel, high quality and high accuracy car body has been realized that can be used in all kinds of trains such as commuter trains, express trains and even the high-speed train such as Shinkansen.
Production system is completely changed.
Thanks to the use of FSW, an advanced technology for production lines, aluminum double skin panels of length 25 meters are double-side welded to achieve a highly accurate structure with very little heat distortion.
